SilexTech is a Mexico-based technology venture focused on developing advanced processing pathways to transform silica resources into higher-value industrial materials.
Our vision extends beyond the extraction and commercialization of raw minerals. We aim to connect mineral resources, scientific research, process engineering, and industrial technologies to create specialized silica and silicon products.
Our Technology Direction
SilexTech is exploring three complementary areas:
Aluminothermic Reduction: Investigating recycled aluminum as an alternative reductant for silica-to-silicon conversion.
Advanced Silicon Refining: Developing pathways for silicon recovery and purification toward increasingly demanding industrial applications.
Plasma-Based Processing: Evaluating advanced technologies for specialty silica and other high-value materials.
Supporting Advanced Industries
Our long-term objectives include developing materials for solar photovoltaics, semiconductor supply chains, specialty chemicals, and advanced manufacturing.
By pursuing these technologies in Mexico, SilexTech aims to contribute to domestic industrial capabilities and the development of higher-value material supply chains.
